It is not a shopping guide or a spec comparison site. Listings are not for sale and no traffic or ranking is promised. It is the curator’s collection first, and a stage for people who make things second.
What gets listed
Curious hardware and design worth taking apart, modding, and showing off.
The one requirement: a specific design highlight or clever idea you can point at, explained in the summary or body as “why it’s worth a look”. “Indie maker + transparent pricing” alone is not a reason.
Review checklist
- Distinctive form, materials or construction
- Clearly clever; an unconventional solution
- Begs to be handled, not just owned
- Open source / repairable / flashable firmware
- No forced cloud, account or subscription
- Indie maker or small team, with the people visible
- One-time purchase or transparent pricing
The checklist assists judgement; nothing passes automatically by count. Mainstream big-company posts, ordinary consumer electronics and generic-feature posts are not listed by default; exceptions with a clear geek angle explain why in the body.
Listed and picked
- Listed: a human decision against the public criteria. Submitters get a clear answer, with reasons when declined.
- Picked: the curator’s call. No applications, no explanations.
What this site does not do
- No paid listings, sponsorships or badges; no submission-for-hire or paid reviews.
- No likes or follows; comments are open to signed-in readers.
- No structured price or platform fields; that goes in the body.
Two languages
Chinese and English. Originals are written by the curator or submitter; the other language is machine translated and then reviewed. Unreviewed translations are marked.
